Lanzarote gained a valuable 3 points against their Canarian rivals in Arrecife on Sunday (1 February). The home side created the most danger during the first half and scored the only goal of the match in the 17th minute when Vladimir connected with a Maciot free kick. During the second half, the visitors went looking for the equaliser, but a disciplined UD Lanzarote frustrated the visitors. Lanzarote were reduced to 10 men in the 72nd minute when Óscar Martín received a second yellow card, however the balance was restored just 5 minutes later when Ibán was sent off, also with a second yellow card. The win moves Lanzarote up to 12th position in the Segunda Division B Group II Table.
