Three Road Deaths over Weekend

This weekend saw three fatalities on Lanzarote's roads. The first accident occurred on Friday (19 December) when a 22 year-old man, resident of Teseguite, was killed in an accident between a lorry and a car on the LZ-20 between Arrecife and San Bartolomé. On Sunday evening (21 December), the head-on collision between two cars on the Puerto del Carmen bypass resulted in the deaths of two women and the hospitalisation of the other three passengers. The road was closed for more than 3 hours, while the emergency service cut the injured free from the vehicles and transferred them to the hospital.
